Day 7 of the Campaign

Elizabeth May

(OTTAWA) - And on the seventh day, she rested –NOT!

Sunday August 9 I clocked my first 21 hour day of the campaign, rising at 4 AM in Thunder Bay (1AM BC time) and hitting my pillow at my adopted mom’s place on Salt Spring Island at 10 pm.

Cate and I made our way west, getting to Salt Spring in time for me to speak as the local MP at the First Annual Garlic and Music Festival.  A huge success for the local organizers and volunteer teams.  Caught up with dear friends Valdy and Bill Henderson of Chilliwack.  For me, Chilliwack’s new song “Take back this country” is the theme song of this campaign.

The official opening of the Ganges office for the campaign for my re-election was another occasion to see lots of old friends and meet new ones.  I am grateful to supporters for getting out their lawn signs so fast.  My riding is sprouting Green signs!
