Include Elizabeth May in the 2015 Leaders' Debates!

Leaders' debates that exclude Elizabeth are missing an important voice for democracy. Over 80% of Canadians in a recent EKOS poll said they want Elizabeth included. Add your voice to protest!

Canadians want and deserve to hear the Green Party Leader Elizabeth challenge the other federal leaders in the Globe and Mail, Munk, and TVA debates, too.  Globe and Mail and Munk Debates need to hear from Canadians that Elizabeth is needed. Sign our petition below, sign the Green Party of Canada petition too, and write or email:

Adding insult to injury, Mulcair's refusal to participate in the televised National Broadcasters’ debates is a clear attempt to shut Elizabeth May out. These are the debates that will be seen by at least 14 million Canadians from coast to coast to coast. Change.org has a petition to sign asking all leaders to participate.

"Democracy is worth fighting for" (Elizabeth May, Green Party Leader).

I don’t expect Stephen Harper to ever do the right thing, but am shocked at Mulcair’s and Trudeau’s reticence to include the best MP in Canada.

The only reason she might not be allowed to debate would be that her opponents are afraid to face her!

Elizabeth May definitely needs to have a spot on any political debates leading up to the election. Why would there even be any question about this since she is an MLA and the Green Party holds seats in the House of Commons

It is most important that the leadership debates represent the broad spectrum of political parties. It is a plus to have a woman and to have Canada’s best parliamentarian. This will add dignity and cudos to the debate, as wel as good sense.

All party leaders that have been elected should be included in the debates…otherwise we are denying many canadians a voice. Don’t care what your political affiliation is, this is a very basic right in a democratic country.
