Elizabeth May needs to be included in the leaders’ debates. She will have well thought-out points of view which will ensure helpful discussions rather than the usual “attach the other party” approaches so common in these debates. In fact, I feel there should be very firm rules that restrict the leaders to presenting their plans for dealing with issues rather than criticizing somebody else’s approach. Elizabeth can be trusted to state her position clearly.

There are a few people in this country that bind it together and work for the good of all Canadians not just Big Business – Elizabeth May is one of them. If we are truly “still” a country that values our “Democracy”, then Elizabeth May must be included. To exclude her means that the other three parties are afraid of her because they know she speaks the truth and Canadians are eager to have an honest, intelligent, caring, smart, articulate person to truly inform them and lead them.

I have often wondered why the party is not represented in the debate. This helps to keep the emerging Green Party out of the public’s eye, and is not a good thing for democracy!

Canadians need to hear Elizabeth May, an independent voice, put forward views that are free from the cliched, partisan positions taken by the three other party leaders all of whom are fighting each other for power. Everything I have heard or read Ms May say or written has been forthright, clear and supported by facts.
