It’s time to Get out the Vote in Saanich - Gulf Islands

And I mean ALL the vote!

One thing we know for sure is that whenever Greens get elected, voter turnout goes up. That’s because Greens inspire people to get engaged—even people who’ve never voted before, or gave up years ago when they decided it didn’t make a difference.

Campaigns that are committed to a better way of doing politics are catching on to this method of GOTV which celebrates and enhances democracy.

Jane Philpott, Independent Candidate for Markham-Stouffville has this to say:

“This is one more way we’re doing politics differently. It’s a “Get out the vote” strategy that is not like the others.”

She was inspired to attempt the Full Pull after reading Dave Meslin’s book called “Teardown: Rebuilding democracy from the ground up.”

SO, what’s our message to voters in Saanich - Gulf Islands?

It’s simple: one side says 'Thank you for voting'

The other side has a note about the value Elizabeth brings as MP

Here’s where you come in:

• Between October 16th and 20th the plan is to hand-deliver this simple ‘Thank You’ postcard to every household in the district
• Pick up a package of ‘Thank You’ cards and an area map, go for a walk and leave a card at every doorstep or mailbox on your map (roughly 100).
• No knocking, no talking; fast, simple and effective.

We need 50 volunteers. Are you game to help?

• Use the 'Comments, other ideas, etc.' field to indicate where you might be willing to deliver cards, ie. 'where ever I'm needed' or 'Central Saanich' or 'I can do my neighbourhood'
