We take our food for granted. Perhaps the second most precious commodity in our lives and we assume it will just appear on our grocer's shelves. And yet food requires care, patience and a respect for the natural world to produce.
Whether on the farm or in our urban garden, growing food combines human labour and ingenuity with the natural elements of sun, soil and water to produce the foundation for all the wealth in our society.
