Your EDA Executive Committee is a dedicated team of volunteers that works on behalf our EDA membership to oversee the activities of the association. Their primary focus is to advance the Vision of the EDA and champion Green Values and Principles.

They are responsible for fundraising and managing the monies from our generous donors. These funds finance activities of our volunteers who play a major role in supporting Elizabeth May, the leader of the Green Party of Canada, and everything she stands for. During elections they are used to support the re-election of our favorite MP.

In addition to following standard accounting principles for associations, they are also regulated by Elections Canada and must comply with the strict rules of the "Fair Elections Act" and other legislation governing the conduct and expenditures of political parties, candidates and riding associations.

Are you interested in becoming a member of the EDA Executive? The Executive is elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Saanich-Gulf Islands Electoral District Association. If you are a member of the Green Party and live within the boundaries of our federal Electoral District you are entitled to vote or to run to become one of the officers of the Executive.Please look for nominations to open 60 days before the next AGM (usually in June).
